How can I join?
It's free to join the library. Just call in with something with your name and current address. If you are under 16 you will need an adult with you to act as your guarantor. Your library card can then be used in all Wiltshire libraries including mobile libraries.

How many items can I borrow? - You can now have up to 12 items on your card.

How much does it cost?
All books and children's audio books loans are free but subject to charges at the current rates if kept overdue. Audio books, DVDs and videos are subject to a hire charge. There is a small charge for requesting adult stock - children's requests are free.

FREE Internet Access
The library offers free access to the Internet and office software for library members. Hourly sessions can be booked at the library or over the phone.

The Wiltshire library catalogue and the community information database Merlin are available through our Viewpoint terminals and the Internet.

Home Service
We can provide a free home delivery service for people with mobility problems. We also need volunteers to deliver this service in Marlborough and the surrounding villages. If you are interested we would be glad to hear from you. There are special services available to help the housebound, the blind, partially sighted and other disadvantaged customers. Please ask for details.

Children's Storytime and Activities
Storytime for the under 5s takes place every Thursday afternoon from 2.00 - 2.30pm. There are often half-term and school holiday activities with stories and crafts aimed at the 5 - 9s. See library posters or local press for details. Free tickets available at the library.

• Play station games, DVDs and CDs are not in stock at Pewsey library but can be requested from other libraries in Wiltshire.

• Children's stock 2p per day (max. charge £1 per loan)

Reservation Charges

• Adult stock 50p per item in Wiltshire libraries stock and £2.20 out of county charge.
• Children's stock - no charge.
